Superior auto detail hosts ribbon-cutting

Hartville, OH — Superior Auto Detail hosted its official ribbon-cutting ceremony held jointly with the Lake Township Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday, May 5, 2021.

The business originally launched as Superior Mobile Wash and Detail in 2015. In 2020 the Perry family purchased the building at 1208 W. Maple Street in Hartville and the current business Superior Auto Detail was launched by Anthony Perry at the height of the pandemic. He did so with no assistance from the government because none was available to a non-established business. Not to be deterred, he continued with his plans to open a locally-owned detail shop catering to car enthusiasts, and owners who just value a clean, well-protected car, but lack the time to detail it themselves.

Customers bring their exotic vehicles, treasured antiques, beloved minivans, favorite trucks, and even boats and motorcycles to Superior Auto Detail for high-level customer service and attention to detail offered by Perry. Each vehicle goes through a very detailed walk-through before a quote is provided. He admits he is booked out three weeks in advance and is looking to hire some reliable people. Cars are taken by appointment only; Please call to schedule.

Perry is a 2018 graduate of Kent State University with a degree in Entrepreneurship. After spending 18 months as floor manager of a high-volume, full-service car wash that offered detailing services as well, Perry decided to move from Charleston, South Carolina, and return to his roots in the Hartville area. His family has been a huge supporter of his launching the business.

The owner and master detailer describes his type of car detailing and maintenance as catering toward a high-end, lower-volume business. His brand of specialized detailing and services features paint correction, paint polishing, ceramic coating, and both interior and exterior detailing on vehicles. One of his main focuses is maintenance: To perfect and protect the vehicle throughout its lifetime with regular cleaning and detailing. Perry and his team of detailers use specialized cleaners and tools for each part of the vehicle, instead of using one all-purpose cleaner for everything whether plastic, leather, or carpet.

With plenty of room to grow, the building has seven bays for use with different services offered, and currently occupies the front half of the building while renting space to an auto repair shop in the rear.
